『2D Restaurant Wall Mural & Product Design – A 2D Fantasy Journey through France』

2D Restaurant is a 2D illustration-themed restaurant located in Chicago, USA, and it has received awards such as Best of Chicaga 2022 and Top 20 Donut shops in Chicago awards.

We are honored to have been part of the visual design of 2D Restaurant, from 2021 to the present day, we have worked together to create the mural designs for the flagship store and the second branch. Our goal was to create a unique space where customers could immerse themselves in the world of flat imagery. 2D Restaurant is not just a restaurant; it's more like an artistic environment. When you step into 2D Restaurant, it's as if you're walking into a 2D painting. The theme is French, and you can take pictures with famous French landmarks. Every corner feels like a painting in a museum.

At the same time, we also took on the role of designing various products related to 2D Restaurant. We integrated the 2D illustrative style into the design of items ranging from food packaging, household products and tableware, ensuring that they were not only in line with 2D Restaurant's unique style but also captivating to customers.

The packaging design is crafted to resemble a Japanese manga book. When you open the box, you will find the interior presented in a comic book style. It narrates the story of 'A hungry Godzilla wreaking havoc in the heart of Chicago, with 2D Restaurant's rooster mascot emerging from the rubble, dressed as a superhero, flying towards Godzilla, and tossing the most delicious donuts from 2D Restaurant towards Godzilla. Godzilla, satisfied, devours the donuts and causes no further destruction.' The packaging design predominantly features a black and white 2D illustrative style. Within it, you can find common manga elements like onomatopoeic words and decorative lines, allowing customers to enjoy a fun comic story while savoring the delightful donuts.

Furthermore, in 2023, 2D Restaurant collaborated with the NBA's Chicago Bulls for a Chinese New Year charity event. We had the privilege of handling the peripheral product design for this brand collaboration. We transformed the Chicago Bulls' mascot into the 2D illustrative style. You can witness the amusing story of the Chicago Bulls mascot and 2D Restaurant's mascot in the design of T-shirts and drinkware.

For FIPEA Design, this collaboration was a remarkable opportunity to create art alongside an extraordinary brand restaurant. It's an honor for our visual designs to be part of 2D Restaurant's success story. We look forward to sharing the details of our mural designs for the second branch in the future.
